Different Types Of Damage From Fire
When your home suffers fire damage, there might be damage in addition to the damage suffered from direct contact with a fire.
Smoke Damage
Smoke permeates through walls, fabrics, and other materials in your home. Also, the hotter the fire burns, the worse the smell of smoke. Dealing with smoke damage requires everything that can be cleaned is cleaned, including the duct work which is often overlooked.
Soot
Soot can and will cover anything. It is the easier to clean as it is highly visible. What might also happen with soot, is something called soot webs. Soot webs form when petroleum based items burn and the soot can form webs that hang from corners in your home. People often mistake these soot webs for spider webs that were already present, but this isn't the case.
